More "personal choice" mixed messages from the welfare movement.

Ok, so, somebody help me wrap my head around this.

I ended up in a bit of a back-and-forth with an HSUS employee on Twitter, which began from:
hi there, to answer your question: we’re for personal choice, but we encourage people to make more humane choices.
This in response to a question from somebody else asking if HSUS was “pro-vegan.”

This, naturally, was followed, a few tweets later with:
No ONE has “forgiven” Vick. He has a LOT to prove.
Let’s unpack, shall we?

Torturing and killing pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys and fish for trivial reasons (for the purpose of eating them) is a “personal choice.” However…
Breeding, training for blood sport, torturing and killing dogs for trivial reasons (entertainment, and possibly whatever he was betting on the fights) means Michael Vick still has “a lot to answer for.”

Really?

REALLY?

Honestly, it’s not just Vick who has some serious ethical lapses to answer for, @humanesociety.
